Very interesting game this is. Greece started the tournament very bad, with a big loss against Spain. They didn`t play like they used to... but it`s known that they start bad but finish good.
Spain destroyed Greece, 81-66 but the difference was bigger in the 4th quarter.
Germany destroyed Angola, 95-66... nothing much to say.
I expect a close game and a Germany win maybe...

Russia - Croatia ( Basketball, Beijing 2008 )
Russia played nice in the first game and won by 22 points against Iran; but let`s face it... it`s like playing against amateurs.
Russia has a nice defence, so I expect a low-scoring game tomorrow. Received only 49 points from Iran, and that`s good... even against a team like Iran.
Croatia hit some amazing shots against Australia, and had 75% from downtown ( 12 out of 16 )... INCREDIBLE !
Nice percentage at 2 pointers too, 63%.
Despite Australia playing some nice ball, they still lost by 15.
I really don`t think that will happen again tomorrow... probably the percentage at 3 pointers for Croatia will be much lower, in fact I`m sure. Anyway, Australia doesn`t have a good defence, but Russia are much more stronger.

I really don`t have too much time...
Lithuania in the first match won by 4, after a shocking 3 pointer in the last 3 seconds ( + 1 free throw in the last second ). They were leading at HT by 4, so they had a good start... I expect the same good start tomorrow and a 20+ lead at HT, then the bench players will probably take the places of starters.
Iran was a disaster in the first match... in fact, they are really poor... so it was expected. Russia, which is weaker than Lithuania, managed to get a 19 points lead in the first quarter... Iran won the 2nd Q, but by only 3.

I`ll not say very much about this match... USA has the stronger team, will win clearly, probably by 30+...
But I`m not touching handicap, because I`m afraid the refs will help China a bit...
USA made good preparation games, with many points... most of them. When playing against offensive teams they scored 120 ( vs Lituania ), 114 ( vs Turkey ), 120 ( vs Canada ).
But when they play against teams with good defense, they don`t score much at all: 89 vs Russia, 87 vs Australia. I`m not saying they will score 80 or 90... they`ll probably score 100 but I still don`t see an over here.

Pandurii Tg.Jiu - Unirea Urziceni
Another game in Liga I today... I think this will get very physical and will be tight, probably with a small amount of goals.
Pandurii Tg-Jiu is in nice shape, despite their 3-0 loss at Timisoara ( I suspect it was a kind of "friendly" game ). In the first match they succeeded only a draw against Dinamo, but this is a good result because Dinamo is one of the biggest teams in Romania. They play pretty good at home, and had an excelent 2nd part of the season last year, winning at Dinamo or CFR Cluj.
Unirea`s coach is suspended for this game and he misses 6 important players today. Besides, Unirea always played bad away from home.
The odds on Pandurii are very good and have big value.

Lituania has only one player in NBA, Linas Kleiza @ Denver Nuggets, and that should be a disadvantage. Of course they have very good players playing in Europe, like Sarunas Jasikevicius @ Panathinaikos, Simas Jasaitis @ Tau Ceramica, Darjus Lavrinovic @ Unics Kazan, Jonas Maciulis @ Zalgiris or Rimantasc Kaukenas @ Montepaschi Siena.
Argentina has much more players in NBA, playing at a higher level. Manu Ginobili is their big star, but they have Oberto from SA Spurs, Nocioni from Bulls, Scola from Rockets and former NBA player Carlos Delfino. And let`s not forget Pablo Prigioni from Tau Vitoria, very good PG. Their problems is they don`t have many good players and have to play a lot with the starters.
I`ve seen some games in the last weeks and Argentina played pretty good, but I can`t make a prediction on winner, since I haven`t seen Lituania. Argentina played fast, games had good pace.
